Muskingum University Nursing Program Graduates Achieve 100% Pass Rate on NCLEX Exam on the First Attempt for the Fifth Straight Year

Graduates from the #1 Rated Nursing Program in Ohio Report 100% Employment Rate During this Time

Muskingum University today announced all graduates from the 2020 class of its acclaimed nursing program passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) on their first attempt for the fifth consecutive year. In 2019, only 8 programs out of nearly 120 in Ohio had a perfect pass rate on the first attempt.

Congressman Bill Johnson represents Ohio’s 6th District, which spans an extended geographical area along the state’s southeastern borders.

 “It takes more than six hours to drive from one end of my district to the other, so when I’m not in Washington, D.C., I’m usually traveling within the district to meet and listen to my constituents. There is a wide variety of economic sectors in my district – manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, energy, and education, to name a few.”

First-term Ohio Representative Adam Holmes serves the 97th Ohio House District, which includes Guernsey County and portions of Muskingum County. 

“One of the first issues I began working on when I joined the House was the opioid crisis and its impact on Ohio residents and communities.” 

“The COVID-19 pandemic has required us to shift our efforts. I’m currently serving on the House bipartisan Economic Recovery Task Force for restarting our economy.”

Alumni & Friends in Action: Zanesville Mayor Don Mason '79

Don Mason ’79 was elected Mayor of the City of Zanesville, Ohio in November 2019, garnering more than 65% of the vote and winning every precinct.

“My career in public service has truly come full circle.  Just after I graduated from Muskingum in 1979, I was elected as a write-in candidate for Zanesville City Council.  I was elected Mayor at the age of 26 and served two terms [1983-1991], before I entered the field of energy regulation.”
