Muskingum University announces it is Test Optional for Fall 2021 Applicants

High school students across the state and throughout the country have been impacted in a number of ways by the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which is their opportunity to participate in standardized testing. To remove potential barriers for those interested in pursuing a degree at Muskingum, the University recently announced it will pilot a test-optional admission policy for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Muskingum Welcomes Students Back to Campus during Move-In Weekend; Kicks Off Fall Semester Unlike any other in the University’s History

Muskingum University officially kicked off its fall semester by welcoming students to campus during the annual Move-In Day weekend. Following weeks of planning to develop a safe, exciting experience, the highly-anticipated return-to-campus event was met with enthusiasm by students, staff, and faculty members alike.

The Muskie Safe app, which has been customized for the University, will let students and employees take control of their personal safety through multiple features. During a late-night walk home, for example, users will be able to connect remotely with a friend or family member to track their location in real-time.

MAJ (Dr.) David Shahbodaghi ’10 Leads Army Central Command COVID-19 Response Force in the Middle East

In early August, Associate Professor of Psychology Dr. Ana Kehrberg contacted the Marketing department at Muskingum to provide an update on a Neuroscience alumnus who was doing some “great things.” With the help of Dr. Kehrberg, the staff connected with Dr. David Shahbodaghi, active duty Army Major (recently promoted) and Tropical & Travel Medicine Physician, and quickly learned those great things include protecting the health – and in some cases saving the lives – of American service members.
