Academic Affairs

At Muskingum University, we educate the whole student for the whole world.

The Academic Affairs Office is responsible for developing and delivering academic programs that serve a broad range of learners, including:

  • Traditional undergraduate students.
  • Adult and graduate students.
  • High school students earning early college credit.
  • Professionals seeking career advancement or transition.

We strive to ensure that all academic programs remain affordable and aligned with student aspirations, professional goals, and workforce trends.

Undergraduate Students

Our office ensures that, as students engage with a wide range of academic programs, they develop skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen fields. As they work toward their degrees, students benefit from high-impact opportunities, including:

  • Internships
  • Undergraduate research
  • Study abroad
  • Community-based projects

In addition, the Academic Affairs team works with campus leadership to provide undergraduate students with a balanced experience of academics, leadership, service, and athletics.

Graduate and Adult Learners

A critical part of Muskingum’s mission is to serve adult learners, including those beginning their educational journeys, degree completers, career professionals, and those seeking career advancement. We provide programs that are flexible, affordable, and offer:

  • Online and accelerated courses that fit work and family life.
  • Supportive advisors and instructors who understand the realities of adult learners.
  • Short-term and stackable credentials that build career-relevant skills and can count toward full degrees.
  • Continuing education and licensure-aligned options for workforce advancement.

Whether a student is returning after time away or pursuing the next step in their career, Academic Affairs is here to support their next step.
