Zanesville Times Recorder: Students' needs will guide Muskingum University's fall schedule

Muskingum University’s online Day of Giving took place on May 5, 2020, celebrating the theme  “Muskingum is Home.”
 
During the 1,837 minutes of #ADaytoRemember, 353 alumni and friends raised $51,442.97 for student scholarships.
 
Gifts came from 24 different states, with 62 reunion classes represented. For 89 Muskies, the Day of Giving marked their first gift to the University.
 
Memories were shared throughout the day in social media posts, photos, and videos around the many ways Muskingum is Home.

Muskies were evacuated from campus and people all over the globe were forced to stay inside. Our lives became encased in an online fortress. A lack of social interaction and toilet paper haunted us for months and Tik Tok became our only comfort. 

Muskingum University's Muskie Press – the unique internship program offered by the English Department - recently published an amazing retrospective titled "The Quarantine Diaries, The Muskie View on COVID-19."

Cheryl Carpenter serves as an Institutional Consulting Director for Graystone Consulting, a business of Morgan Stanley. Based in Columbus, she is one of the team leaders serving clients primarily in the Mid-West.
“Our team’s focus is on total enterprise consulting for institutional endowment, foundation, healthcare system, and pension clients,” Cheryl explains. “We work with them to establish and implement their investment objectives, policy, strategies, and related projects.”

As President and CEO of North Valley Bank, Jim Nicholson has extensive experience in supporting small businesses, with a customer base surrounding the bank’s Zanesville headquarters and throughout Muskingum, Perry, Morgan, and Licking Counties. 

Nik Deogun, CEO of the Americas and U.S. Senior Partner of the Brunswick Group, advises global corporate clients on business critical and crisis-related communications issues.
