Muskingum University is inviting the community to join in song during its Christmas Festival, a musical worship experience that weaves together choral and instrumental music, poetry, scripture, candlelight, and seasonal carols, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at Brown Chapel in New Concord.
In the tradition of Muskingum University's Vespers, the Christmas Festival, centered around the theme “From Darkness to Light” will be led by the Muskingum University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, Christmas Festival Orchestra, and organist Rebecca Abbott.
Muskingum University Assistant Professor of Athletic Training and Director of the Athletic Training program Ken Blood was selected as an All-Ohio School Board Member, receiving the highest honor granted by the Ohio School Board Association (OSBA).

The Muskingum University volleyball team dropped a five-set thriller against Hope in the semifinals of the Grand Rapids, Michigan NCAA Regional on Friday, Nov. 15, 3-2 (25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 21-25, 11-15).
The 14th-ranked Muskies end its outstanding season at 27-4 overall. This year marked Muskingum's best campaign since 1999 and saw the Muskies capture a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular-Season Championship.
Muskingum University's Ignition organization will co-host an Ignite Zanesville event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 in Boyd Center Center, Room 336. Ignite Zanesville will feature a discussion with alumni Daniel Jennings and AJ Kazmierczak, operators of Jennings' Java. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to network with regional professionals.
Muskingum University has announced the launch of a new track in its Bachelor of Science Nursing program beginning fall 2020. The accelerated program (ABSN) is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a field other than nursing and want to join the growing healthcare industry as a registered nurse.
