Muskie History Majors Attend Ohio Statehood Day, Honor Women’s Suffrage

On February 26, Nate Binni '20, Rachael Essex '21, Lorene Kelley '21, and Zoey Stenson '21 – History Majors enrolled in HIST360 Historical Research – attended the annual Ohio Statehood Day event. This year’s festivities celebrated Ohio’s 217th birthday and commemorated the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. The group learned a few more details about the history of Ohio and paid particular attention to a panel titled "Centennial of Women's Suffrage and Achievements," as American Women’s Suffrage is an emphasis in the course this semester.

Muskingum Participates in Future of Work and Education Summit

Muskingum University was an eager participant at the recent “Future of Work and Education Summit” held at the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College Campus Center. The event, which is sponsored by Muskingum, OUZ and Zane State, featured a dynamic keynote from Google’s Chief Education Evangelist, Jaime Casap, who collaborates with school systems, educational organizations, and leaders focused on building innovation into education policies and practices.

Annie Castor Glenn '42 Celebrates 100th Birthday

Please join us in wishing Trustee Emerita Annie Castor Glenn '42 a very happy 100th birthday! 100 years is an incredible milestone, which is fitting for such an incredible woman.

Art

Two paintings by Ruth Dorsey Neptune Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts Yan Sun were selected for the exhibition, "Harmony and Evolution: An Exhibition of the Chinese-American Art Faculty Association” at the Ruth Davis Design Gallery of the University of Wisconsin Madison.  The exhibition runs from February 26-April 5, 2020.
