The Undergraduate Catalog

One of the terms used frequently on this and many of the linked pages in the menu is the Undergraduate Catalog, or the Catalog of Entry. The Undergraduate Catalog describes the program that will be offered by the University for a specific academic year. When you enter Muskingum University you automatically come under the requirements of the catalog in effect when you begin classes (your Catalog of Entry). For example, if you start in 2015 fall semester, the 2015 - 2016 Undergraduate Catalog automatically becomes your Catalog of Entry. That means that you are responsible for fulfilling the degree requirements as well as any major, minor, or general education requirements as specified in that year's University Catalog.

The Catalog states: "Undergraduate students who complete graduation requirements in four years are under the catalog in effect at the time of first enrollment. Students may elect to meet the graduation requirements of a later catalog. Students who do not meet graduation requirements within seven calendar years of first enrollment must meet the requirements of the catalog in effect at the time of graduation or of a catalog published no more than four years earlier than the time of graduation."
