General Education in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Curriculum

The General Education in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (Gen Ed) curriculum has 13 categories designed to give students a broad base of knowledge from a variety of different subjects.

The categories of the General Education Curriculum are:

  7. Scientific Understanding
  8. Health
  9. Artistic Understanding and Expression

  11. International Perspectives
  12. Western Traditions
  13. U.S. Experience

Each of these categories have specific courses that may be used to fulfill the requirements. See your catalog of entry for more specific information.
