Hefflin and Loomis Retire From Board of Trustees After 57 Years of Combined Service
Muskingum University honored retiring board members Ruth Champlin Hefflin (1994-2019) and Allen E. Loomis (1987-2019) during its Board of Trustees meeting in mid-October. The program of recognition featured opening and closing statements by President Sue Hasseler and a pictorial and musical tribute.
Muskingum University to Celebrate Homecoming, Reunion Weekend, Oct. 18 - 20
Muskingum University’s students, alumni, faculty and staff will join together for the University’s annual Homecoming and Reunion Weekend on campus from Oct. 18 to Oct. 20. In its second year as a combined event the University community will celebrate reunion classes and alumni award recipients, will recognize championship athletic teams, and will participate in a variety of performances and athletic competitions.
Department of Nursing Receives Funding from The Ohio Board of Nursing
Muskingum University today announced its Department of Nursing was recently awarded a grant from The Ohio Board of Nursing’s, Nursing Education Grant Program (NEGP). The grant will provide an additional four-bed units in the department’s lab that includes a specific area designated for high-fidelity simulation activities.
The Walter K. Chess Center recently underwent an exciting transformation with upgrades to all strength machines on the fitness level of the Chess Center. The new machines will help injured athletes with rehabilitation, provide wheelchair accessible options that were not previously available, and will offer modernized workout options for students, faculty and staff.

Students explore campus organizations, clubs at Involvement Fair
The Muskingum University Quad was filled with informational tables, giveaways, snacks, and even snakes at this year's Involvement Fair, held on September 3. Students learned more about the organizations, clubs, honorary organizations, and study abroad programs offered at the University.
