Muskingum’s 2020 Celebration of Excellence Ceremony to Virtually Take Place this Friday, April 24, at 1 p.m.

Muskingum recently announced its Celebration of Excellence, the annual event honoring undergraduate student achievements in a variety of categories will take place online on Friday, April 24 at 1 p.m. As we continue to follow Governor’s DeWine’s shelter-in-place guidance, the virtual ceremony will feature video presentations of the awards and honors on the University’s Celebration of Excellence webpage.

The 2020 ceremony will feature:

  • Welcome address from President Hasseler 
  • Reflections from Dr. Ky Davis, 2019 winner of the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award
  • Magnus Leadership Awards for contributions to campus life
  • Student Innovation Awards
  • Awards from each academic department, presented by Division Chairs
  • Recognition of the President’s List (cumulative GPA of 3.9 or better); Dean’s List (semester GPA of 3.6 or better for full-time students); and Academic Merit (semester GPA of 3.6 or better for part-time students)
  • Recognition of students inducted into the university-wide honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Lambda Sigma
  • Recognition of GPA leaders in Athletics and Greek Life
  • Announcement of the 2020 faculty awards winners for Teaching, Scholarship, and Service.

The link to the ceremony will be distributed prior to the event on April 24 and will be available on the site for one year.
