Graduate Assistant - Cultural Engagement and Inclusion

Muskingum University invites applications for a Graduate Assistant to the Office of Cultural Engagement and Inclusion. This position serves as a support for the CEI Office while acquiring transferrable skills in the areas of belonging and inclusion.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of CEI programming and training.
  • Assist in advising student groups as assigned.
  • Promote CEI programs through the CEI Office social media.
  • Maintain an engaging and welcoming space in the CEI lounge.
  • Assist with trips and transportation needs.
  • Represent the CEI Office at various campus events and recruitment functions.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Acceptance into a Muskingum University Graduate Program.
  • Bachelor’s degree.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to principles of inclusive excellence.
  • Ability to build relationships with students with a variety of identities and life experiences.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • This position requires some night and weekend hours.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to become certified to drive transportation vans.
  • Must be willing to reside in campus housing.
