Assistant or Associate Professor of Engineering

The Department of Physics and Engineering at Muskingum University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Civil Engineering, starting Fall 2026. We offer an ABET­ accredited B.S. in Engineering with tracks in civil, general, and mechanical engineering.  Appointment type will be based on qualifications.

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering program with modern facilities, real-world learning experiences, and a proven record of preparing students for in-demand careers. We're looking for a colleague who is committed to:

  • Teaching a broad range of undergraduate civil engineering courses and labs.
  • Supporting experiential learning through industry partnerships, internships, and capstone projects.
  • Collaborating with regional partners to expand engineering pathways for diverse learners.
  • Advising students, engaging in research, and contributing to university service.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Undergraduate teaching experience; industry experience preferred.
  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET /EAC-accredited institution preferred.
