The Department of Music at Muskingum University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in choral conducting with secondary expertise in music theory or music education, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning the fall semester of 2020.

Primary teaching responsibilities will include conducting the university choirs and teaching undergraduate conducting.  Additional teaching duties may include music theory, choral methods, applied lessons, or other areas determined by the strengths and background of the candidate.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for visible involvement in the broader southeastern Ohio community as a conductor, pedagogue, and/or scholar, and the ability to work within a team environment.
