Choose Ohio First (COF) is an initiative promoted and administered by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to bolster support for the next generation of Ohio science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) scholars and industry leaders advancing Ohio’s position in world markets in these areas.
Choose Ohio First (COF) is an initiative promoted and administered by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to bolster support for the next generation of Ohio science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) scholars and industry leaders advancing Ohio’s position in world markets in these areas.
Muskingum University Choose Ohio First Scholarship awards are funded through a grant from ODHE. The Muskingum COF program is designed to increase the number of students entering and advancing in STEM-related (science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine) fields of study. Our COF scholars are provided with academic supports and connected to work-based learning experiences and careers through our relationships with STEM industry businesses and organizations.
In accordance with state requirements, the scholarship carries with it a service obligation, which involves participation and leadership in activities to foster the development of current and future science students. Scholarship recipients must be Ohio residents and first year students or new transfer students.
