Accreditation
Preparing qualified, competent and caring professional educators is central to Muskingum University’s vision and mission. The Department of Education consists of professional educators known for their excellence, experience, passion and innovative scholarship. Through partnerships with local school districts, state agencies, educational service centers, and other universities we are able to enhance the learning experiences of our education candidates. Full-time faculty typically teach both undergraduate and graduate classes as do faculty adjuncts who are drawn from the ranks of highly qualified practitioners – experienced teachers and school administrators.
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) awarded full accreditation on all five national standards with no areas for improvement on April 30, 2018. This distinction reflects the quality of our multiple licensure programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Click here to review the Muskingum University degree and licensure programs.
