Financial Aid

The Communication, Media, & Theatre Division at Muskingum University offers a variety of scholarships to students based on their area of interest. Award amounts may be up to $2,000 per year. Scholarships are renewable provided that students meet departmental GPA and participation requirements.

Financial need is not a requirement, though these awards are factored into a comprehensive financial aid package for students demonstrating need. Students are encouraged to apply early for the Communication, Media, & Theatre Division Scholarships, as awards to students whose applications are received after a need-based financial aid package is sent will be limited to a maximum of $1,000. To be considered for a Communication, Media, & Theatre Division Scholarship, a student must:

• Be admitted to Muskingum University as a full-time student.
• Submit the Communication, Media, & Theatre Division Scholarship Application Form (below).
• Additional requirements may apply depending on the specific scholarship (see below).

To maintain the Communication, Media, & Theatre Division Scholarships, students must:

• Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in scholarship area courses
• Enroll in scholarship area courses as required by each scholarship. The minimum requirements are listed below:
  • Digital Media Design: one course per year
  • Forensics: COMM 200 Fundamentals of Speech Communication the first semester
  • Journalism: one course per semester
  • Theatre: one course per year
• Meet participation requirements as set forth by each scholarship area
