Community Cat Care Internship- Fall 2025 (Local)- anticipated start September/October 2025
Sponsored by New Concord Feral Cats, Inc
The New Concord Feral Cats Society is seeking a compassionate and dedicated college student to assist in promoting awareness of the feral cat population in New Concord and implementing humane methods to both find care for and manage the population. This internship provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by educating the community, collaborating with local no-kill shelters, and assisting in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and adoption efforts.
As an intern, you may work closely with local no-kill shelters and sanctuaries such as The Animal Shelter Society of Zanesville, and local veterinary partners.
New Concord is home to a growing population of feral cats, and this internship gives students the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through hands-on community service. Interns support local efforts to care for and manage these cat colonies by assisting with feeding, shelter upkeep, monitoring health concerns, and promoting humane care practices. This internship is ideal for students interested in animal welfare, community outreach, or nonprofit work—and provides valuable experience in responsibility, problem-solving, and compassionate service.
This internship includes a stipend of up to $1,000, for which the intern may allocate in the most effective way to support feral cat awareness, humane control efforts, transportation, or shelter partnerships.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Guernsey County is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving and supporting child victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and neglect, as well as their families.

The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12-week summer program offering hands-on experience in our retail stores, providing insight into management, sales, and store operations as well as meaningful customer experiences. Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO) Internship- Fall 2025, Spring & Summer 2026
Available to students who are interested in health policy and who want to learn more about Ohio’s healthcare and public health systems and the various factors that influence health and healthcare spending. An internship at HPIO allows students to gain substantive knowledge of health policy issues and a greater understanding of the health policy landscape, both in Ohio and nationally. Interns assist the HPIO policy team by conducting research, analyzing data, and contributing to publications related to health policy. Internships typically start in August and run through December. Application deadline for fall is July 21, 2025.
