Sample Financial Aid Situations

The following hypothetical cases give you an idea of how some typical financial aid situations might be reviewed. You may use these cases as guidelines, but remember that we consider every application for financial aid on an individual basis and may look at many more variables than those shown here.

Price Wright

Price's father is a salesman who earns $60,000 per year. His mother is a part-time substitute teacher who earns $20,000 per year. His parents' untaxed income is $3,000 and net assets are $15,000. Price has two younger sisters in middle school. Price earned $1,200 in his part-time job last year and saved $300.


Price has a 3.4 GPA, ranks 45 out of 250 in his class, and his ACT score is 24. Price is a member of the Presbyterian Church, USA.
