International Programs Transportation

Shuttle service is provided as explained in the Transportation Policy for International Student Services.

You must have your reservation turned in by the deadline in order to use the shuttle service. It must be a complete reservation including your name, airline, flight number, arrival/departure time, and the city that you are arriving to/departing from. Your reservation must be in writing by either email or fax to Valerie Smith, vsmith@muskingum.edu, fax: (740) 826-6113. You must make your own personal reservations and pay the shuttle fee prior to your shuttle date.

Non-Airport Transportation

Transportation is provided in a variety of other situations for international students at Muskingum University. If you have a specific transportation need that is not listed below, please email Valerie with the details of your request. You may be able to reserve a private shuttle for a group or individual.

Greyhound Bus Station- transportation to the Greyhound Bus Stations in Zanesville and Cambridge are provided for free with at least a one week notice. Email Valerie with the date and time of your arrival/departure and if you are using the Zanesville or Cambridge bus station and Valerie will get back in touch with you about the details of the transportation.

Social Security Office- transportation is provided to the Social Security Office for students needing to request a social security number or file for a lost or stolen social security card. Fill out the form on OrgSync to request this transportation.

Ohio BMV- transportation is provided to an Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Office for students that want to sit for their learner's permit (for driving) or to get a state ID card. Transportation to sit for the learner's permit will be granted only once per student so make sure you study for the test so you can pass! Fill out the form on OrgSync to request this transportation.

Medical Appointments- transportation is provided to medical appointments or the Health Clinic in either Zanesville or Cambridge with at least a one week notice. No transportation is provided for students needing to go to the Emergency Room or to Urgent Care. Students should call 911 and go in an ambulance if they feel they must see a doctor immediately. Make sure you take your insurance card with you.

Private Shuttles- If you need a ride to a destination that is not named on this site or to the airport on a date that is not covered in the Airport Schedule, you are welcome to contact the students listed on the table below. These students have all agreed to have their contact information listed and to provide personal shuttle service as they are available in their private cars. You need to contact the students directly to make arrangements and work out an appropriate cost with them that should generally include at a minimum their hourly wage time for driving (minimum wage) plus fuel costs. These drivers all charge $50 to provide a shuttle to the Columbus Airport.
