Move-in & Break Information
Room Preview Day
August 2nd, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Students may visit campus in this open-house style day to see the room they are assigned to for the 2019-20 academic year. All students are welcome to come to Room Preview Day. Go to the Front desk of your building (Townhouses, Fraternity Circle, and Ulster go to Thomas Hall; Lakeside Houses go to Finney Hall) to pick up your key and then return it once you have visited your room. You may take measurements and make plans, but you may not move anything in on this day. This is a great opportunity to meet your roommate!
- A cookout lunch will be served at the Chess Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at no cost;
- Corn hole and sand volleyball will be set up on the lawn;
- Music will be playing;
- Prizes will be awarded, including T-shirts to the first 50 to arrive, as well as a raffle for an Amazon Echo & more.
Get a head start on meeting your future classmates and friends by attending Room Preview Day.

Students may only arrive early to campus if they are sponsored by a staff or faculty member (i.e. athletes, Resident Assistants, approved Greek students, etc.). You will need to coordinate your move in with the staff or faculty member arranging for you to arrive early.

Please make travel and work arrangements as needed to meet these deadlines.

Thursday, May 7th, 6:00 pm - ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED FOR ANY STUDENTS NOT PARTICIPATING IN GRADUATION OR STAYING FOR THE SUMMER
Saturday, May 9th, 7:00 pm - ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED AND STUDENTS MUST BE MOVED OUT
If students are graduating, hold an on-campus job keeping them through graduation, are on an approved international student shuttle, or are an athlete staying with the team, students will be approved to stay late. All other students must check out of their rooms within 24 hours of their last final, or by the designated times above, whichever comes first. Approval to stay late for any reason other than those listed above must be granted by the Director of Residence Life by submitting the appropriate form prior to move-out. Students are not typically approved to stay late and need to make travel and work arrangements accordingly.
