First-Year Student and Transfer Student Move-In and Check-In

August 18th, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
All first-year and transfer students will check-in at Caldwell Hall between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. All residential students will receive their keys at Caldwell Hall and then will be able to move into their room.  Commuter students will receive additional information in the coming weeks about Commuter Student Orientation and the sessions planned for commuter students. Welcome Weekend Activities will begin at 3:00 pm.

Returning Student Move-In

August 19th and 20th, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
All sophomores, juniors, and seniors will pick up keys at the front desk of their residence hall (Townhouses and Circle 240 will go to Thomas Hall; Lakeside Houses should go to Finney Hall).

Early Arrivals

Students may only arrive early to campus if they are sponsored by a staff or faculty member (i.e. athletes, Resident Assistants, approved Greek students, etc.). You will need to coordinate your move in with the staff or faculty member arranging for you to arrive early.

Break Schedule

The residence halls will be closed for Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break unless students are approved to stay. Students must request permission to stay on campus with the Director of Residence Life by submitting the necessary form prior to each break. Please make travel and work arrangements as needed to meet these deadlines.

Thanksgiving Break
Tuesday, November 21st, 6:00 pm - ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED
Sunday, November 26th, 12:00 pm (noon) - ALL HALLS RE-OPEN

Winter Break
Friday, December 8th, 6:00 pm - ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED
Sunday, January 7th, 12:00 pm (noon) - ALL HALLS RE-OPEN

Spring Break
Friday, March 1st, 6:00 pm - ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED
Sunday, March 10th, 12:00 pm (noon) - ALL HALLS RE-OPEN

End of Year Move Out

Thursday, May 2nd, 6:00 pm
ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED FOR ANY STUDENTS NOT PARTICIPATING IN GRADUATION OR STAYING FOR THE SUMMER

Saturday, May 4th, 6:00 pm
ALL HALLS ARE CLOSED AND GRADUATED STUDENTS MUST BE MOVED OUT

If students are graduating, hold an on-campus job keeping them through graduation, are on an approved international student shuttle, or are an athlete staying with the team, students will be approved to stay late. All other students must check out of their rooms within 24 hours of their last final, or by the designated times above, whichever comes first. Approval to stay late for any reason other than those listed above must be granted by the Director of Residence Life by submitting the appropriate form prior to move-out. Students are not typically approved to stay late and need to make travel and work arrangements accordingly.
