Art & Design Scholarship

Muskingum University Art & Design Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding talent and potential. The value of the Art & Design Scholarship may be up to $2,000 annually, renewable for up to four years of study at Muskingum.

Financial need is not a requirement, though these awards are factored into a comprehensive financial aid offer for students demonstrating need. Students are encouraged to apply early for the Art & Design Scholarship, as awards to students whose applications are received after a need-based financial aid package is sent will be limited to a maximum of $1,000. To be considered for an Art & Design Scholarship, a student must:

  1. Be admitted to Muskingum University as a full-time traditional undergraduate student.
  2. Submit an Art & Design scholarship application.

To maintain eligibility, a student must:

  1. Enroll in a minimum of one art (ART) or design (DMD) course each semester.
  2. Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) in all art/design classes of 3.0 or better per semester and in all university coursework of 2.5 or better per semester.
  3. Art & Design majors must successfully matriculate through the sequence of courses involved in the degree programs.
