Graduate Assistant Athletics Esports

Muskingum University invites applications for a one-year appointment, with a one-year renewable appointment, as a Graduate Assistant in Athletic Esports. The position is under the direct supervision of the Vice President and Director of Athletics and Head Esports Coach. 

Duties include serving as the Assistant Esports Coach in all designated areas, coordination and recruitment of prospective student athletes, assisting with all practice planning and execution, assist with game and travel preparations, opponent scouting, instruct Esports student-athletes on game strategies and performance principles as well as prepare student athletes for NACE, GLEC, Tespa, and other competitions and tournaments, plus other duties as assigned by Head Coach of Esports or Director of Athletics.

This is a ten-month appointment, which begins August 1, 2021.  Position includes graduate school tuition remission for Muskingum University, monthly stipend, room, and board.  The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree, good understanding of collegiate gaming, strong organizational and managerial skills, and the ability to utilize resources, data, and tools effectively. The appointment is contingent upon graduate school acceptance and a successful background check.
