Graduate Assistant of Athletics Communication

Muskingum University invites applications for a one-year, with a one-year renewable contract as a graduate assistant in Athletics Communication. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Athletics Communication and assist in all facets of the Athletics Communication Office.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing pre-game information, news releases, keeping in-game statistics, assisting in home-event management, responding to statistical and report requirements from the NCAA, Ohio Athletic Conference, and intercollegiate opponents, updating the Muskingum athletic web site with results, game stories, previews, statistics, student-athlete profiles, rosters and schedules, and utilizing Muskingum’s social media platforms to promote Muskingum’s athletic programs. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be confident. Evening and weekend work will be required.

This is a ten-month appointment. Position includes graduate school tuition remission for Muskingum University, monthly stipend, room, and board. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree and qualify for admission into Muskingum University’s graduate school.
