Add the Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate K-12 license to your existing teaching credential 100% online with Muskingum University. You can choose to complete just the license or combine your course work with additional graduate study to earn a Master of Arts in Education degree. This track prepares you to work with learners who need academic or behavioral support, combining content specific methodology, literacy courses aligned to the science of reading, and clinical practice to ensure you are prepared to work in inclusive settings across K-12.

With an Intervention Specialist (Mild / Moderate) Licensure, you can:

  • Serve as a special education teacher supporting students with mild to moderate learning or behavioral needs in grades K-12
  • Lead inclusion or intervention programs in a variety of education settings
  • Work as a resource or support teacher, helping bridge content knowledge gaps
  • Serve as an intervention specialist targeting reading/math remediation
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum
