Bio

Kim Shegog is the winner of the Converse College Inaugural Book Prize for Fiction. Her book, Crossing Over, was published by Clemson UP (2022). Her work has appeared in Appalachian Review, The Sun, r.kv.r.y quarterly, and anthologized in This is What America Looks Like: The Washington Writers’ Publishing House Anthology (2021). She is currently working on two projects: Judith, a novel, and A Brothers’ Load: A History of Virginia Carolina Freight Lines, a creative nonfiction piece. She has taught a variety of English and Humanities courses for over a decade. She also serves as the faculty advisor for First Circle, Muskingum’s literary magazine.
