Alternative Spring Break

Make your Spring Break matter! Join us each year for half a week of giving back and working for justice.

Students in bright blue sweatshirts smiling on a brick porch under a banner listing Open Hands Ministries and other sponsoring organizations in Pittsburgh PA.

For the last Three years students have spent half of the Spring Break  with the Miller Summer Youth Institute at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary  to do housing justice work with Open Hand Ministries  and volunteer with Garfield Community Farm. All students are welcome to participate no matter their faith background and full and partial scholarships are available each year.

Information about the trip is available beginning at the end of the Fall Semester and registration opens in February. Contact Chaplain Wright for more information.
