This program is 100% online, offered in five 8-week sessions throughout the year (fall, spring, and summer semesters). Students may enroll in any term and go full- or part-time.
Most students finish in 12–18 months, depending on transfer credits and course load. Some complete in as little as 12 months.
Courses include Transitions in Professional Practice; Health Assessment; Nursing Research; Perspectives in Global Nursing and Health; Community Health Nursing; Contemporary Issues in Nursing; Healthcare Nursing Leadership/Management
Biomedical Ethics, statistics, and electives (if needed).
Yes. Instead of traditional clinicals, students complete a leadership/management project (NURS 480) at an approved site, supervised by a BSN-prepared preceptor.
Common BSN-prepared roles include staff RN (BSN-preferred), charge nurse, public health nurse, case manager, school nurse, and specialty practice. A BSN also opens doors to leadership and graduate programs.
Yes. Employers increasingly prefer or require a BSN. Completing this degree strengthens job mobility, leadership potential, salary growth, and graduate study options.
A BSN equips you with the skills today’s healthcare employers value most — leadership, advanced assessment, community health expertise, and evidence-based decision-making. With these competencies, you can step into higher-level roles and pursue graduate education.
