Muskingum University Inviting Google Exec to Work & Education Summit

President of Muskingum University, Dr. Susan S. Hasseler was recently interviewed by WHIZ news about an upcoming summit.  The Future of Work and Education Summit will be held on February 21st on the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College campus.  The three colleges are partnering to host the event.  The summit will feature speaker Jamie Casap, Chief Education Evangelist at Google.  Jamie will speak on education, digitalization, innovation, generation Z, and the future of work.  

Annie Castor Glenn '42 Celebrates 100th Birthday

Laudations: Spotlight on Faculty Work

Laudations is an online collection spotlighting the professional contributions Muskingum University faculty and staff make to their respective disciplines.



Two paintings by Ruth Dorsey Neptune Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts Yan Sun were selected for the exhibition, "Harmony and Evolution: An Exhibition of the Chinese-American Art Faculty Association” at the Ruth Davis Design Gallery of the University of Wisconsin Madison.  The exhibition runs from February 26-April 5, 2020.

InnovationMania II Showcases Future Muskie Moguls

InnovationMania, the signature event for Muskingum University’s Ignition Program, returned with a bang on campus in year number two. More than 100 people participated in the frenzied, fun night of innovation and problem solving that encouraged budding entrepreneurs to share, and brainstorm, ideas.

Campus Hosts Scholarship Days for Prospective Muskies

More than 122 prospective Muskingum University students and their families participated in the first of two Scholarship Days on January 18, 2020.  Scholarship Day visitors traveled from as close to campus as New Concord (1.1 miles) and from as far away as Coats, North Carolina (360 miles).

John and Annie Glenn Public Service Fellows Complete First Semester; Positively Impact the Local Community

The Muskingum University John and Annie Glenn (JAG) Public Service Fellows group recently completed their first semester on campus and are making an impression on and off-campus. Designed to transform young people into active citizens and public servants, the JAG Fellows balanced classroom instruction sessions with regional activities to improve the region.

Muskingum Welcomes New Executive Director of Disability Resource Services

Muskingum University recently welcomed new executive director of Disability Resource Services and associate professor of Education, Dr. Leann DiAndreth-Elkins, in a reception held in Walter Hall. A number of faculty and staff enjoyed food and refreshments while saying hello to the newest addition to Muskingum University. 

Dr. DiAndreth-Elkins brings a strong background in disability services and higher education to her new role as the leader of the PLUS program and Disability Education Office services.
