Two nursing organizations, RNCareers.org and registerednursing.org, have ranked Muskingum University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program #1 in Ohio.

RNCareers.org also ranked the program #1 nationally, as one of only 5 programs in the country to achieve their top rating. This is the second year in a row that Muskingum’s program has received RNCareers.org’s top Ohio ranking, with a grade of 100% in their 2021 Best Ranked Nursing Programs guide.

The Nursing program is widely recognized for its excellence, as its graduates have achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure (NCLEX) Exam on their first attempt for five straight years.  The graduates also reported a 100% employment rate through these years.

The Muskingum Nursing experience, which includes a focus on interactive learning, prepares students for both the NCLEX Exam and their professional careers, according to Dr. Cynthia Wilkins, Director and Chair of Nursing at Muskingum.

“Our program is designed to develop the critical thinking and communication skills students need to navigate the unpredictable and fast-paced nursing profession,” said Dr. Wilkins. “We focus on interactive learning in the classroom coupled with simulated, hands-on learning in the lab, along with clinical experience, to instill the cognitive knowledge and assessment skills needed for professional success in our field.”
