Food and Drink

The Muskingum University Library Food and Drink Policy was developed to encourage the use of library resources while protecting the University's investment in its collections and technology. Some restrictions on the consumption of food and drink in the Library are needed to reduce the potential for damage.

Food

Snacks or wrapped items which are consumed individually are permitted in certain areas of the library. However, no meals or open plates of food are allowed.

Drink

Drinks are permitted in covered spill proof containers with lids or caps only.

Food and drink are permitted in all areas of the Library, except:

  • at or near computers, and
  • at photocopiers, printers, microfilm reader/printers.

Food and drink refuse is to be discarded in trash receptacles. Spills should be cleaned immediately with paper towels available in all restrooms. Thank you for eating and drinking responsibly.
