Bio

Dr. Coalt joined the faculty in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program in January 2023 as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC). She has been in the occupational therapy profession for 20+ years. Dr. Coalt was the AFWC at The University of Findlay in entry-level MOT and OTD programs where she served for 11 years. It is in this role she has fostered the professional growth of hundreds of students as they transitioned into professional practice.


Prior to teaching Dr. Coalt was employed by Mayo Clinic (Rochester) and Riverside Methodist Hospital where she practiced as an occupational therapist in the areas of acute care, trauma, dysphagia, and inpatient rehabilitation. It is these areas she is most passionate about and strives to share her excitement and knowledge with students to best prepare them for fieldwork and future practice.
