Graduate Commencement

7:00 p.m. | Thursday, May 3, 2018 | Brown Chapel

Dr. Vicki A. Wilson, a leader in the field of teacher education, will serve as the principal speaker at Muskingum University’s 26th Graduate Commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 3. During the 7:00 p.m. ceremony, Muskingum will grant Education Specialist, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Information Strategy, Systems and Technology degrees. Read more about Dr. Wilson

Baccalaureate

10:00 a.m. | Saturday, May 5, 2018 | Brown Chapel

Reverend Dr. Rick Nutt, Professor of Religion and Associate Provost, will offer the sermon during Muskingum University’s traditional Baccalaureate on Saturday, May 5. The interdenominational service will honor Muskingum’s graduating Class of 2018, who will receive their diplomas during the University’s 173rd Undergraduate Commencement ceremony that afternoon. Pre-Commencement Lunch

11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Saturday, May 5, 2018 | Thomas Hall

  • A lunch buffet for guests is available for purchase in Thomas Hall.

 



Undergraduate Commencement

1:30 p.m. | Saturday, May 5, 2018 | The Anne C. Steele Center

Celebrated NASA pioneer and internationally-known researcher Dr. Christine Mann Darden, whose 40-year career was amongst those highlighted in The New York Times bestselling book “Hidden Figures,” will serve as the principal speaker at Muskingum University’s 173rd commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 5. Dr. Darden was the first African-American woman to be promoted into the Senior Executive Service for her work in high-speed aerodynamics, supersonic flight and sonic booms.   • The Steele Center doors will open for seating at 11:30 a.m.
  • The general public is invited to attend.
  • Undergraduate Commencement will be streamed live online at muskingum.edu/Live.
  • Families with small children may find it more comfortable to view the ceremony in the VIP Lounge; ask a staff member for assistance.
  • Shuttles will be running continuously between remote parking areas and the quad. Pick up/drop off is behind the Quad Center.
