The interdisciplinary study of Environmental Conservation Science at Muskingum University provides students with a solid background in the physical, biological, and ecological sciences while also emphasizing the analysis of economic, political, social, and ethical issues as a contextual basis for problem solving and decision making.

Mission

The mission of the Biology Department at Muskingum University is to advance the educational, professional and personal development of our students.  Our goals for life science majors are to provide a broad and rigorous education in the biological sciences, help students identify and prepare for fulfilling professional careers, advance critical thinking and problem solving skills, and ensure an in-depth understanding of science as a process of human inquiry.
