Summer Sessions FAQ
How do I know what course(s) to take?
Returning Muskies: Before you register, please consult with your academic advisor. They will help you in selecting the appropriate course(s) to take. The Registrar’s Office can also help if your advisor is unavailable.
Incoming first-year and transfer students: Please consult with Dr. Shelley Amstutz-Szalay at sszalay@muskingum.edu for guidance on selecting courses.
Visiting students should confirm with their home college or university that the course(s) taken at Muskingum will appropriately transfer to their institution.
Where can I find a list of courses offered this summer?
All courses can be found on MuskieLink and clicking the 2026 Summer Semester. (Courses will be available on MuskieLink after March 6, 2026)
Is Financial Aid Available?
Financial aid options are available. If you are interested in financial aid please complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA and contact the office of Student Financial Services at (740) 826-8139 or email finaid@muskingum.edu for additional information.
- Pell Grants – If you are already eligible for the Pell Grant and you are enrolling in at least 6 credits this summer you may be eligible for financial assistance
- Federal Student Loans – If you are enrolling in at least 6 credits and have not already used your full annual student loan eligibility, you may be able to eligible to receive Federal Student Loans this summer.
How do I pay my tuition bill?
You can pay your bill online at www.muskingum.edu/business-office using a credit or debit card (MC, VISA, Discover) or a checking or savings account. Contact the Student Accounts Manager at 740.826.8118 for answers to any other questions you may have.
What if I need academic assistance while taking a Summer Sessions course?
For questions about academic support during Summer Sessions, email registrar@muskingum.edu.
Summer Sessions Policies
Course Add/Drop/Refund Policy
During Summer Sessions, students may add a course through the first day of each session by using MuskieLink or sending an email to registrar@muskingum.edu.
To add a class after the first day of each session, students must request permission by sending an emailing registrar@muskingum.edu.

Course Withdrawal Policy
During Summer Sessions, students may withdraw from a course up to 75% of its completion by sending an email to registrar@muskingum.edu. A grade of “W” will be assigned for a course withdrawal. There is no tuition refund for course withdrawals.
