Requirements: Students must be registered as a full-time students with sophomore status and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Financial Responsibilities: 
Students shall pay fees as normal to home institution (including tuition, room charges for a double room, costs of a full board plan, and other mandatory fees). All scholarships still apply. Students are responsible for making sure they have health insurance coverage as required by the host institution. In addition, students shall be responsible for transportation to and from the host institution, materials for classes (books, etc.), spending money, and other expenditures.

Housing and Meals: 
UPEI has three residences with both room and board-style and apartment-style accommodations for about 400 students. All residences have double and single units and are equipped with telephone/voice mail, cable TV, and computer network connections. Each residency also has common TV lounges, study/computer rooms, and kitchen and laundry facilities. Those living in dormitory housing are required to purchase a 19-meal plan. The Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall provides a variety of healthy foods so that students entering with their meal card have an opportunity to try many cuisines in response to their own requests.

Classes: 
UPEI has a low faculty/student ratio. They offer bachelor's degree programs in a variety of fields of study, including the arts, sciences, education, music, modern languages, Canadian studies, religious studies, and business administration.

About Charlottetown: UPEI is located in Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence off the eastern coast of Canada. Charlottetown is a safe city, and the campus is known for its friendliness. UPEI has a small, intimate community with many activities available for student participation. There are also many restaurants, theatres, and shops within walking distance rom campus. Prince Edward Island has a hiking and mountain biking trail next to the campus, as well as National Park beaches and world famous golf courses a short drive away. The winders are very cold, however, and warm clothing such as parkas, waterproof boots, and thermal underwear are necessities.
