Muskingum University Receives Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits

Muskingum University’s Quad Center project is one of 24 projects approved for the Ohio Department of Development’s state historic preservation tax credits. It is the only project in southeastern Ohio.

“The state historic tax credits encourage investment into projects renovating historic structures,” said Vice President for Finance and Operations Philip Laube. “Renovating the Quad Center, which provides direct services to our students, will increase the utilization of this facility.”

Your Gift – His Story: David McDonald ’23

“I am very grateful for the privilege of being here at Muskingum,” David McDonald ’23 reflects. “Because of alumni support, I have a second chance at a college education.”

“My path did not lead directly to the University. After graduating from Mount Vernon High School (Ohio), I enrolled part-time at Central Ohio Technical College and worked at several jobs, but I was not finding my passion either in the classroom or in my work experiences.”

Muskies Share the Spirit of Giving

Throughout December, the Muskingum University community shared the holiday spirit of caring for others.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) sponsored a Hoops for Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, December 4, 2021, during the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against John Carroll University. All fans received free admission to the game with a canned food, non-perishable item, or monetary donation. Donations were distributed to the New Concord College Drive Presbyterian Church Food Pantry.
