CURRICULUM

CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

  • Courses are offered in a hybrid model: online, face-to-face, labs, and clinical experiences. 
  • Students complete the program in 4 consecutive semesters (including summer) 
  • The full program requires 68 credit hours of nursing coursework beyond prerequisites. 
  • Prerequisite courses (sciences, statistics, nutrition) must be completed before starting the ABSN curriculum.

  • NURS 487 Nursing Senior Capstone: Preparation for Licensure & Practice (7 credit hours)

REQUIRED PREREQUISITE COURSES

The following prerequisite courses must be completed before starting the program. Science coursework should be completed within the past 10 years and courses denoted with a (*) must be completed with a minimum grade of “C” or better. Transfer credit will be considered for all courses listed.

All Muskingum prerequisite courses are available online.

PROGRESSION & GRADE REQUIREMENTS

To move from one semester to the next, students must successfully complete all nursing courses with a grade of “C” or better. Failure to meet progression criteria may result in a removal from the cohort sequence.
