CURRICULUM

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The MOT program structure includes the following key components:

  • A full-time, cohort-based format completed over two years includes fall, spring 1, spring 2, and summer terms.
  • A total requirement of 69 semester credit hours.
  • Prerequisite coursework (e.g., anatomy, physiology, behavioral science, and occupational science) completed prior to entry to the MOT program.
  • 18 on-campus experiential learning weekends that provide hands-on skill development and professional preparation.

ENTRY PATHWAYS

OTA Bridge Pathway
Licensed OTAs can enter via this pathway—even without a bachelor’s degree—provided prerequisite credits are completed and 90 semester hours of college coursework are fulfilled.

Alternative Pathway
For students who hold a related bachelor’s degree, this path requires prerequisite occupational science coursework before entering the MOT curriculum.

PROGRESSION & GRADE REQUIREMENTS

To stay on track in the MOT program:

  • Students must earn a “C” or higher in all required courses.
  • Students must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point progress through the program and graduate.
  • Students must comply with fieldwork site policies (e.g., background checks, immunizations, professional behavior).
