Bio
Melissa Conroy is a Professor of Religion at Muskingum University specializing in comparative religions. She received her BA and MA from the University of Toronto and her PhD from Syracuse University.
A comparative scholar of religion and bodies, Professor Conroy has written several articles on religion and film, religion and psychology, and religion and gender. She teaches courses in such topics as World Religions, Interfaith Dialogue, and Death and Dying in the World Religions. Recognition of her teaching excellence is evident in awards from Muskingum University and the state of Ohio.
Professor Conroy is Co-Director of the Otto and Fran Walter Fellows program and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Religion and Film.
