Impact Fair: Discovering Careers in the Healthcare System
The Impact Fair

Muskingum University’s inaugural Impact Fair was held on Feb. 12, 2024. The Impact Fair was a fresh approach to a traditional career fair with intentional focus on exploring careers and building meaningful connections in the healthcare industry. It was presented by the Impact Center, in collaboration with the Department of Nursing and the Alumni Engagement Department.

The Impact Fair brought healthcare employers, workforce professionals, and alumni to campus, providing students with opportunities to develop networking skills and consider career opportunities. More than 70 Muskingum students attended, representing majors from across the campus.

“The Impact Fair allowed students to think about the healthcare system more broadly,” said Molly Dunn, Executive Director of the Impact Center. “There are many careers beyond those that involve patient care, such as accounting, information technology, marketing, development, and organizational management. Furthermore, it offered an opportunity for students to develop essential professional skills while building a network of connections. The more professional connections we help students make, the more opportunities they will have in the future.”
