Night of Impact Celebrated
Night of Impact Inductees

On Feb. 2, 2024, Muskingum University’s 2023 Athletic Hall of Fame class was inducted during the Night of Impact celebration.  The event was presented by Carol Goff & Associates Real Estate.

For the first time, the Night of Impact was held on campus, in the Bullock Health & Wellness Complex (BHWC).

The class of inductees included:

Doug Jewitt ’83, Wrestling. Wrestling in the 158-pound weight class, Doug was an All-American, a two-time National Qualifier, a two-time Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) champion, and an OAC champion runner-up.

Gary Thompson ’92, Baseball. The Muskingum pitching career strikeout leader (206), Gary earned Third-Team All-American honors and Academic All-OAC accolades. He ranks in the top five in Muskingum history in career wins (19) and in career earned run average (2.61).

Jim Kornokovich ’01, Football. An offensive lineman, Jim was a USA Football.com Honorable Mention All-American and two-time All-OAC honoree. He also received Academic All-OAC accolades.

Amy Iammarino ’08, Softball. Amy was a Third Team All-American honoree and two-time First Team All-OAC selection. She helped lead the Muskies to four OAC Championships, three NCAA Regional Championships, and three NCAA World Series appearances.
