Laudations is an online collection spotlighting the professional contributions Muskingum University faculty and staff make to their respective disciplines.

ART

Works by Morgan Free, Assistant Professor of 3D Art, are displayed in a solo exhibition entitled “Loving Something Doomed” at the Firelands Association for Visual Arts (FAVA) Gallery in Oberlin, Ohio, from February 14-April 2, 2023. The closing reception is April 1 from 1-3 p.m.

HEALTH STUDIES

Professor of Health Studies Hallie Baker co-authored the article “Scaffolding & Fading: Enhancing Literacy Skills across a Curriculum to Achieve Mastery,” published in the Journal of Education and Practice (Vol. 14, No. 3, 2023).

HISTORY

Laura Hilton, Professor of History and Schwartz Faculty Scholar, received a grant from the Holocaust Educational Foundation to develop and provide professional development training about the Holocaust for middle-school and high-school teachers.

POLITICAL SCIENCE

Associate Professor of Political Science Richard Arnold recently published “The Kremlin’s ’Holy War’ and Its Cossack Crusaders” and “Cossacks Used to Promote Moscow’s War Against Ukraine” in the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor and “Beyond Wagner: The Russian Cossack Forces in Ukraine” in Ponars Eurasia.
