Muskies Receive Accolades

Muskingum University student-athletes in five sports recently received well-deserved accolades and set school records:

Esports: Doug Crawford ’23 claimed his second ECAC Madden National Championship.

Football: Six Muskies were named All-OAC honorees. Quarterback Jordan Garrett ’23 and wide receiver Zuri Edmondson ’23 were both named All-OAC First Team. Linebacker Austin Willforth ’25 and wide receiver Ja’Lin Goodman ’23 were named All-OAC Second Team. Offensive lineman Kamari Hill ’24 and defensive back Antwan Murphy ’26 received All-OAC Honorable Mention accolades.

Defensive lineman Toleo Malone ’25 and defensive back Cole Burch ’25 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for their outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom.

Ten Muskies were named Academic All-OAC honorees: Kevin McIntire ’23, Hunter Albers ’24, Jerimiah Flowers ’24, Owen Hively ’24, Gabriel Marks ’24, Cole Burch ’25, Michael Elliot ’25, Toleo Malone ’25, Dylan Moore ’25, and Chase Soutar ’25.

Men’s Cross Country: Wade Speeth ’24 and Max McAdams ’25 were named to the Academic All-OAC Honor Roll.

Men’s Soccer: Morgan McKenna ’24 was named All-OAC Third Team.

Thomas Rooney ’23, Ryan Watson ’24, and Kia Fowler ’25 were named to the Academic All-OAC Honor Roll.

Women’s Cross Country: Graduate Senior Macy McAdams ’21 finished in ninth place at the Women’s NCAA Division III Regional Championships, becoming the first student-athlete in Muskingum’s history to qualify for the Women’s NCAA Division III National Championships. She finished 157th out of the 293-runner field at the National Championships, also becoming Muskingum’s first national finisher in women’s cross country. She was named the OAC Women’s Cross Country Outstanding Performer for her stellar 2022 season.

Women’s Soccer: Morgan Meisel ’25 was named All-OAC Third Team.

Six Muskies were named to the Academic All-OAC Honor Roll: Jenna Jordan ’23, Jillian Laposky ’25, Morgan Meisel ’25, Monique Reil ’23, Jennafer Roberts ’25 and Sheridyn Woofter ’23.

Four Muskies received Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association honors: Morgan Meisel ’25 was named OCSA Third Team All-Ohio, Jenna Jordan ’23 was named First Team OCSA Academic All-Ohio, and Monique Reil ’23 and Sheridyn Woofter ’23 were named Second Team OCSA Academic All-Ohio.

Women’s Indoor Track & Field: Paige Webb ’24 set a new school record in the long jump with a mark of 16’-10” at the Marietta First Glimpse Meet.

Volleyball: Emma Conrad ’23 was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America First Team for outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom and was the OAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month for December 2022. Emma Conrad ’23, Emma Dunham ‘23, Raegan Flood ’24, and Lexie Huck ’24 were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and, along with Abigail Dickson ’24, to the Academic All-OAC Honor Roll.
