Giving to Muskingum

Day of Giving

Be part of DAY OF GIVING March 19-20, 2024 to help current Muskies create a “Life More Abundant”!

Each March the entire Muskingum community comes together for 1837 minutes to celebrate Day of Giving and to create #ADayToRemember. Since 2019, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends have donated more than $290,000 to help current Muskies live a “Life More Abundant”.

How can you be part of Day of Giving?

Make a gift to support scholarships and aid, Athletics, Music, the Impact Center, or Greek Muskingum Fund Scholarships, and join faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends around the globe who help make a Muskingum experience possible.

Wear your BLACK & MAGENTA and post a pic to social using #ADayToRemember. Encourage others to get involved.

Watch email and social media for various CHALLENGES AND UPDATES throughout the day.

If you’re on campus, DROP BY THE TENT on the Quad on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for FREE goodies, games, giveaways, and to make a gift.

Looking to make an even greater impact on Day of Giving?

Unlike other fundraising campaigns or appeals, Day of Giving is 100% online, and utilizes word-of-mouth via donor networks and social media to promote the day. You can volunteer as a Day of Giving ADVOCATE, reaching out to friends and classmates to encourage them to participate. Using the ADVOCATE HOW-TO GUIDE makes being an advocate as easy as it is rewarding!

Create a PERSONAL PLEA to tell others why supporting Muskingum is important to you. Here is your chance to tell the Muskingum community why you are getting involved with our Day of Giving. Create a selfie video on your phone to upload in the ‘Advocates’ tab in your Give Campus account. After our team approves your submission, a button to watch the video will appear next to your name in the Advocates tab.

SHARE the campaign link on your own social media. We make it easy to accomplish this with built-in buttons located in the 'Advocates' tab in your Give Campus account. These built-in buttons generate links that are unique to you and allow the number of clicks, gifts, and dollars generated by your outreach to be tracked. The number one thing to remember is share early, share often, and post using #ADayToRemember! (So, that’s 3 things, but each is important).

Use sample language for social media posts and emails provided in the ADVOCATE HOW-TO GUIDE.

Leverage your own gift to encourage others by setting up a CHALLENGE or MATCH for your classmates, Greek brothers or sisters, teammates, or any other group you want to inspire to give. You can even help build awareness leading up to the day by sharing what you love most about Muskingum by using #ADayToRemember.
