MASTER OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY: WHAT YOU'LL STUDY

Muskingum's occupational therapy master's program offers practical, hands-on learning for real-world clinical practice. Our occupational therapy courses focus on analysis of functional human movement and other underlying skills, occupation-based assessment and intervention planning to promote mental and physical well-being across the lifespan.

Other key areas addressed include assistive technology, leadership, program development, advocacy, and emerging practice settings. A continuum of research courses allows you to build evidence-based practice skills and complete a project examining current literature related to relevant practice problems.

MOT PROGRAM FIELDWORK

Our occupational therapy graduate program provides hands-on fieldwork experiences in inpatient healthcare settings, schools, adult and pediatric outpatient facilities, and community-based programs. This integrated fieldwork model allows you to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings while building the confidence, clinical competence and practical expertise to provide client-centered care in your OT career.
