Bio

Jim Dooley’s research interests fall within the domains of population, community and landscape ecology. He has generally tailored his research programs towards issues which hold promise in contributing to conservation. He also has related interests in population ecology, evolution, and experimental design. Beyond research as its own end, he also sees enormous opportunity in research activities as arenas for education. He’s spent a great deal of time working with students in the field and that experience has only solidified his sense that exposure to research activities can and should be more consistently integrated into undergraduate education.

Beyond science, he is also deeply committed to his life in art (via music and photography) and serving as a student mentor via co-curricular programing.
