Earth Science

The Earth Science program was designed with the input of the Muskingum University Education department to fulfill the content background needs for future science educators in the natural and planetary sciences. With a breadth of coverage including oceanography, astronomy and geomorphology, it is also a popular choice of second major for geology students.

Outcomes

Muskingum Earth Science graduates holding a bachelor’s degree go on to work in private industry, in education, or for state and federal agencies. 

Our Earth Science program also prepares students for graduate school, with recent graduates pursuing master’s degrees and doctorates at schools including The Ohio State University, University of Akron, Washington University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Arizona, and University of Wisconsin.
