Campus Safety

Visitor Policy

Face Coverings

Masks are optional on campus. All members of the campus community and guests should carry a mask at all times, as you may be required to wear a mask in certain settings. These include the Student Health Center, the Testing Center, upon request in individual work or living spaces, and in some classes.

We will continue to respect the comfort levels and privacy of anyone who may prefer to continue to wear a mask, regardless of the reason.

Social Distancing

The University is asking visitors to maintain social distancing between yourself and other people who are not from your household. To practice social or physical distancing, stay at least 3 feet from other people who are not from your household in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Admission Visitors

The Admission team has been working diligently to welcome potential, future Muskies and their families to campus. For the health and safety of our visitors and the campus community, we have developed and implemented safety measures for campus visits, listed here.

Residence Hall Visitors

Guest Visitation – Guest Visitation – Guest visitation is allowed in the residence halls; however, there is limited capacity in individual rooms. Each resident is allowed one guest in a room at a time.

Vendors

Brief visitation from vendors (suppliers, contractors, service technicians, etc.) is essential in keeping Muskingum’s operational structure running. Vendors will restrict their time on campus to essential duties only and limit time on campus. Approved vendors will make themselves aware of and adhere to current University safety policies and protocols.
