CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Drs. Jason Kehrberg, Samantha Bennett, and Scott Pray’s article, “Acculturation, Identity, and the Authoritarian Worldview: Explaining Hispanic Attitudes Toward Police,” has been published with open access in the Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Politics. Using data from the 2020 American National Election Study, the study examines variation in attitudes toward police within Hispanic communities, focusing on authoritarian values, racial identity, and generational acculturation.

HISTORY

Dr. Laura J. Hilton presented her research, “Bona Fide Refugees? The Complicated World of International Refugee Organization’s Appeals” at the Beyond Camps and Forced Labour conference in London, UK in January 2026.

POLITICAL SCIENCE

Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Richard Arnold published four articles in the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor: "Moscow Conducts Fascistization of Russian Higher Education (Part Two)", "Cossack Cadet Corps Expanding in Russia, Russia Uses Cossacks to Sustain Ideological Support for War", and "Russian National Unity Day Extolls the Cossacks". He was also interviewed by G4Media in the article "Foreign experts for G4Media: What options does Ukraine have if it rejects Trump's plan?", and co-authored for Bellingcat in the article, "From School to Battlefield to Grave: How Russian Cossacks drive young people to war".
