Homecoming 2025 – Celebrating the Long Magenta Line
More than 500 Muskingum University alumni from across the decades and the nation returned to campus for the 103rd Magenta Homecoming celebration on Oct. 10-12, 2025.

Muskie generations in attendance spanned 72 years, from Wayne Cunningham of the Class of 1953 to multiple members of the Class of 2025.
On Friday, Oct. 10, the 3rd annual Khanna Career Connections Conference welcomed over 20 alumni who shared their knowledge and experiences with students as presenters. After the breakout sessions, students had the opportunity to network with alumni.
The 50th Reunion Class of 1975 was well represented with more than 40 members. Reunion Chairs Jane O’Brien Marti ’75, Dan Plumly ’75, and Ted Sofis ’75 presented their class gift totaling $1,225,407.

A beautiful fall Saturday was the perfect backdrop for the Alumni Council’s coffee and cornhole networking event, an alumni basketball game, an afternoon football game with the Fighting Muskies, and a 5th quarter alumni and student gathering on the East Lawn.
There were numerous other activities throughout the weekend for reconnecting, reminiscing, and engaging with current Muskies.
The University also designed two t-shirts for this year’s Magenta Homecoming. One is a 2025 commemorative homecoming shirt, and the other is a vintage Muskingum College shirt. You can purchase both on the Gear Shop website. To view the complete Homecoming photo album, visit the Alumni Album on Flickr.
Mark your calendar and plan to join us for the 104th Magenta Homecoming on Oct. 9-11, 2026.
